bvdub and sofie loizou are two passioned artists who have a special collaboration on this southern outpost offshoot! sofie loizou is at the forefront of the electronic music scene in australia and brock van wey (bvdub)is one of america s most prolific electronical artists known for his excellent deep house and dubby techno releases! the ep is evocative and wistful, enveloping the listener in a dream state. the two made an equisite piece of lush ambient techno with vocals of the polish natalia grosiak (produced by polish sound artist dawid szczesny). the combination of natalia s enchanting vocals and exquisite textural sound beds creates a sublime experience of blissful melancholy. this is a highly limited run of only 200 copies... yeah we know.. it s crazy to have a bvdub collaboration this limited... but its just a fun project of southern outpost and friends! don t sleep

>hollow hills< keeps the psychedelic side of riley reinholds music up, which he has released since his first release on disko b in 1995 (red flare ep). jittering voices, sounds that ricochet and basslines that come like little earthquakes. the 11 minute epic >hollow hills< works similar to the waves at the beach, constantly featuring irregular shapes and never repeating itself. the track has been remixed by french artist gohan, who lives in paris and who has electrified the track with his vision of modern daring electronica, bordering on music the glorious wishmountain did in the past. finally domestic musical impact comes from the cologne musician oeler who has made a tougher and more elaborate percussive beat, the core element of his interpretation of >hollow hills<.

nottinghams wigflex camp returns to wax with another implausible display of style, forsaking their 4 track sampler style for a double header on platter number three. featuring one half of the duo behind the blossoming blunted robots label, shortstuff, and previous wigflex contributor, and the only artist to appear on all of the labels releases to date, taylor, the longer 12 inch format lends itself beautifully to the producers who both get the chance to build tracks that exceed the 7 minute mark.

for their first release in 2010, the infamous label kanzleramt will team up with suol for this split release called nip split : 01. as the 01 might already tell you, this isnt a one time thang ... this is just the beginning of a looooong relationship to come! on the kanzleramt side we find suol label owners chopstick & johnjon (true, its starting to get a bit complicated here) with the track infidelity that is already a sure shot in the recordbags of the suol and kanzleramt family. infidelity gives us a sneak peak on the guys background, with its sample based theme and the ruff programing. there might have been one or two hip hop parties that the two attended in the past. give this one a spin and the groove will show you, how much impact this lovely house tracker gonna have on the floors. on the flip side mr. kanzleramt himself aka heiko borrowed us his artist peter horrevorts for a dancefloor monster!

some still know very little about t&b artist josefine jinder, so let us introduce her to you. in august 2008 we saw the debut ep of little jinder, >polyhedron<, and soon after in october 08 we gave >polyhedron< the remix treatment with loads of t&b producers. in june 09, after countless gigs and production work, jinder returned to the t&b catalog with >youth blood< on their scion comp. the tune was such a hit t&b had no other choice but to give this epic blood sucker disco house anthem the same remixing treatment as >polyhedron<. as usual, t&b remixes are all over the board from a joker-esque dubstep remix by 12th planet & flinch, a monster mash heavy bass electro remix from sharkslayer to a remix by tomas andersson, who graces this 12 inch with a smooth rolling disco remix straight from the dub factory. this is one of many releases to come from jinder, this is her first single in support of her full length record to come out in 2010. definitely an artist to watch.

in 2010 desolat continues its one year old x series with m.in: >sing and blow at the same time<. m.in is an young artist from frankfurt area developing his individual music taste by being open-minded towards other genres. his interpretation of house / tech-house is spiced up with jazz, soul and afrobeat elements in order to present a varied and sophisticated blend to his audience and led to numerous well received solo releases and remixes for radio slave and italoboyz amongst others. m.ins house and his versatile beat programming caught our attention a long time ago - and the title track here simply seemed to be tailor-made for loco dice and his sets. >sing and blow at the same time< was probably one of the best kept secrets since last summer and now it’s time to reveal it. this new desolat x will be the first in the series to be available as a digital file as well. its coloured vinyl, with artwork by florian pohl and mastering by enrico mercaldi, will remain a collectors item - great sounding and good looking.
